my goal in launching the first bike rental station in parkersburg is to introduce a fun and healthy activity into the downtown environment for both visitors and local residents. having grown up in parkersburg and spent time traveling throughout other regions of the united states, I have seen firsthand how thoughtfully designed public amenities can transform a city. duke bikes is an effort to bring some of those positive elements back home. at its best, a downtown should feel active and inviting—an environment where opportunities exist at every turn. creating this type of atmosphere is not only about enhancing life, but also about building a better future everyone can be excited about.
